  This is in part the request from circuit oversees to elders in the April 16th, 2020 letter regarding reinstated disfellowshipped individuals (What an abomination this letter is!):

  Dear Brothers,

  All circuit oversees have been asked to submit names of one or two individuals who were disfellowshipped in the past but have returned and are doing well now. Below is part of the letter I received from the branch:

  
  "Particularly, we would like to hear of those who openly express their confidence that the disfellowshipping arrangement is loving and that they have personally benefited from this discipline. Preferably, the experience should illustrate the points from the second, third and fourth paragraphs in the online article "Do Jehovah's Witnesses Shun Those Who Used To Belong To Their Religion"?...The experience does not need to be a recent one. However, please only submit experiences of those who are still doing well spiritually."

  There is no need to contact the persons you have in mind at this stage . If you can help with this I would ask that you respond urgently as I must send details before April 24th, 2020."

  This letter is blatantly obvious of how desperate this organization is to put a positive spin on what is otherwise a very cruel, harsh and not to mention unscriptual doctrine!

  These instructions from COs to Elders regarding doctored-up experiences of reinstated individuals is evidence of the shenanigans and length the organization will go to stage interviews for Circuit Assembly, Regional Conventions and Broadcast parts in order to justify their harsh disfellowshipping & shunning doctrine.

  E-MAIL Shepherding during Covid stay at home

  my wife is getting regular emails from the cobe ... you know we have the truth, the world is in the dark, we're special, hang in there, read this encouraging watchtower ... blah blah blah ... just wondering if these are coordinated from org.. recent mass email example .... " .... an excellent watchtower article in the july 2020. it is entitled “be convinced that you have the truth”.

  the scripture is from 2 tim 3:14. we are to continue in the things we have learned and be persuaded to believe.

  reflect for a moment what appealed to you about the truth which drew you to jehovah.

  Yep...I've got my share of elders wanting to invite themselves over for a 'zoom shepherding call'. Rather than be a benefit for the rank & file...it's meant mostly to keep the servant body busy. My continued reply to them: "Please...like I told so n so last time he called...don't call me, I'll call you!"

  i guess you could make a case of more families being together although that might not be the best situation.

  less cars and pollutants mean we can breathe better.

  if you were ever uncomfortable in crowds, this could be good news.

  Because of their being cooped-up at home...I will venture to say that JW elders, JW ministerial servants & other younger male JWs have positively contributed to the growth in hits to porn sites! Whether that's something positive...well who can say!🤣🤣🤣

  there was a letter read sunday at our meeting that mentioned some parts of us are starting to open back up.

  however, regardless of things opening up that no kingdom halls should be used for any meetings of any kind.

  also, no door-to-door ministry or any form of in-person ministry is allowed.

  Generally, we are more cautious than the secular authorities and our neighbors, who are often eager to resume activities for economic reasons.

  As usual...a very condescending and snobbish tone from this cult!

  Ten-four good buddy...this letter was read here locally also. The tone of the letter is that 'Mother' wants everyone to prepare to have zoom-meetings for the long haul. In fact... the local elders are assigning brothers to handle zoom meetings for service every day of the week. Basically the organization is telling the rank & file that even though local governments are easing up on restrictions...they expect JWs to continue with safe distancing protocols until told otherwise.

  it's been 12 years since i submitted my resignation letter, and stopped playing by their rules.. in a spurt of manic rationality, i blew up the bridge, sky high.

  knowing that the diseased organ would need to be forever removed, away from anything remotely functional in my mind, body, and soul.

  lest i be tempted to return.... so, i left.

  We all deserve to be happy...(and to know that our first name isn't "brother" or "sister" lol)

  This comment brought back a memory from a year ago of an overly zealous fella in my congregation. I went to greet him one day and called him by his first name. His reply to me was:

  "Call me 'Brother So n So'...brother"!

  To this day when I cross paths with this knucklehead I ignore his wishes & proceed to address him by his 1st name!🤣🤣🤣

  I/we see it all the time...an employee flattering & ingratiating himself with his employer in hopes of getting a raise or promotion in return.

  Though there is no exact mention of money...'Mother' is buttering-up the elderly with this letter for among other things...their continued loyalty and in the end...their $$$!
